Eric Hawes is a 2015 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples. Large, athletic frame with a well proportioned frame and nice present strength to his build. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball low and out front with a wide base, moves well on feet to backhand, stays tall at release, short arm action on throws across with some present strength that will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base with a high hand set and back elbow. Upper body swing, uses a leg kick trigger for timing, shows fluidity in swing path and gets the barrel through the zone well while showing the ability to hit to all fields and comfort going to the opposite field. Good student.
