Cole Kinman is a 2018 C/ with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Tualatin, OR who attends Tualatin. Large frame with excellent physicality and strength throughout body. Very strong. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Really stood out defensively; narrow base behind the plate with slight side saddle, extremely quick and balanced footwork exploding out of crouch and gaining ground forward. Quick transfer, efficient in every part of throw-down mechanics, showed excellent arm strength up to 81 mph on throws down to 2nd base with legitimate game-actions, popped as low as 1.83 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly crouched stance with big leg lift trigger for timing. Showed very good bat speed with bat path to hit the ball into the air; direct to ball, good leverage off of front side. Showed pop to all fields with good jump off the bat. Named to 2017 Sunshine West Top Prospect List; very good student.
