Evan Cyrus is a 2017 C/RHP/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Albany, OR who attends West Albany HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; good projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.05 seconds. Sets to hit from even stance with bent knees, shows good loose swing with extension through contact, finishes high and shows the ability to hit the ball into the air with some authority. Projects well in terms of power with continued strength gains. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Sets low with good flex, receives well out front, shows good compact actions through catch-and-release with quality arm strength, popped as low as 2.22 seconds and threw 74 MPH. Pitched as well, shorter arm stroke to three quarters arm slot, good low-effort delivery without mechanical red flags. Stays balanced. Fastball worked 74-76 MPH with good command. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good spin. Threw strikes consistently. Very good student.
