Sam Devorkin is a 2017 C/1B with a 5-9 178 lb. frame from Milwaukee, WI who attends Grafton HS. Compact solid build, looks bigger than listed, good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a limited shift, can use his lower half better but has the upper half strength to compensate, has a short line drive swing and keeps everything simple and direct, works the middle of the field, could develop some gap power with more extension. Good flexible set up behind the plate, stays low and is a good blocker, transfers the ball well, arm strength is still developing. Good student.
