2007 Holiday Open Showcase
Luis Serna is a 2007 C/3B that attends Dwight D. Eisenhower HS and resides in Blue Island, IL with a 5'9", 180 lb. frame. Luis has a well-developed athletic build. At the plate Luis has easy lift in his swing and goes to the opposite field well. Luis is a little stiff in his approach and needs to get his hand-set down and get ready to hit earlier. Behind the plate Luis has good raw arm strength with solid footwork. He gives pitchers a good low target and commands the game well. Luis gets a little stiff at times and just needs to relax a little more behind the plate. Luis is a solid student that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
