Elvis Torres is a 2017 SS/ with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Corona, NY who attends John Bowne. Medium-large frame with solid build throughout body, good athleticism and strength combination physically. Ran 40 yard dash in 4.84 seconds. Hits from wide based stance with solid balance throughout swing mechanics, rotational swing on line drive swing plane. Shows quality bat speed with good strength off the barrel, as round went on he did a better job of squaring up the baseball and driving it with authority. Did show the ability to go to both gaps with the swing. Fields out in front defensively in the infield, has some flair at the ball, gets to the ball well and has range with actions. Good waist bend, ball comes out clean from efforty release, shows good quick twitch athleticism as well. Arm strength across clocked up to 83 MPH.
