William Hesslink is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Shelburne, VT who attends Rice Memorial HS. Hesslink has a large frame with a solid build. He pitches from an overhand arm slot with a short arm action. Hesslink has some arm speed and gets extension out front. He uses an inline delivery and the ball comes out clean. His fastball gets cut action on it and it has some life to it. Hesslink mixes and matches his pitches well and missed barrels well. He throws a 1/7 curveball with solid shape and spin to it. He also threw a slider at 73 MPH with some tilt to it. Defensively he showed some athleticism at 1B with good hands. At the plate, Hesslink starts with an upright stance with a toe tap trigger. He looks to pull the ball with some bat speed. Good student.
