Tyler Rodriguez is a 2017 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-8 176 lb. frame from La Vernia, TX who attends La Vernia HS. Has a medium frame, lean build, and plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.88 second sixty yard dash. Has an easy, rock and stop style delivery that stays online and has good direction to the plate. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a deep arm circle through the back. Generates good downhill plane on his ball and is quick to the plate. Fastball flashes some arm side run, changeup had nice downward action, curveball showed shape and spin. Consistently pounds the strike zone and is efficient getting hitters to chase outside of the zone. Excellent student.
