Dakota Messer is a 2017 MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Lake Norman HS. Compact, developing build. Solid footspeed, 7.00 60-yard dash. Showed solid infield actions and ability to get in good position. Flashed good footwork at times, could work through the ball more consistently. Long, extended arm-action, made accurate on-time throws. Right handed hitter, starts with bent back knee. Hits off backside, could use lower half a bit more in swing. Shows ability to get extended and flashes feel for barrel, can get a long, sweepy with path at times. Will improve with more experience, maturity, and strength. Good student.
