Jamie Carey is a 2015 3B/RHP, 2B, C with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Amherst, MA who attends Amherst Regional. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, moves well to the ball with quick feet, athletic actions, sound glove work, stays tall on throws, quick release with a quick arm on throws across and projects for more strength. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Hides the ball, short stride down the mound with some effort at release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with a short breaking, 10-4 slider and a late sinking changeup at 71 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Short and direct path to the ball,shows a nice feel for the barrel and creates consistent line drive contact, has a feel to hit to all fields with some strength on contact and quickness in swing.
