Alex Beattie is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-3 150 lb. frame from Ottawa, ON who attends St Pius X. Tall, lean, thin, young frame with plenty of room to add strength with maturity. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and throws strikes with his fastball. Has deception in his arm action and locates down in the zone. Tops at 67 mph with his fastball and pitches down. Also mixes a slow curveball with 12-6 shape and occasional 11-5 action. Knows how to mix his pitches, including a changeup down. Also swung the bat, hits from a wide base and carries his hands low. Hits line drives to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
