Charles King is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Springs High School. Medium frame with an athletic, strong build that is projectable physically. Left handed pitcher, solid arm action into three quarter arm slot with a balanced delivery. Repeated delivery well, used a mid 70's fastball that topped out at 76 that had arm side life. Ability to cut the ball in on right handed hitters. Showed 12-6 shaped curveball that flashed depth. Good pickoff move. In the field, showed athletic actions and a clean release of the ball. At the plate, utilized an open stance, narrow base and high hand set. Leg lift timing mechanism. Pull oriented approach with some lift in swing. Some present strength, flashes bat speed with hard contact pull side. Intent to drive the ball. Would do well to incorporate lower half more into swing. Good student.
