Daniel Raygoza is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Doraville, GA who attends Paideia. XL frame with very good strength and build throughout body. Primary pitcher. uses slow and deliberate windup to pause at balance point, throws from tight three quarters arm slot. Stays tall on backside and uses lower half well. Straight fastball worked 67-70 and touched 71 MPH. Flashed curveball with 11/5 shape and quality depth; breaks early and shows solid rotation throughout life of offering. Hits from wide-based, slightly open stance with lower hand set close to body. Choppy swing with solid hand speed, flattens barrel early and maintains line drive plane through swing to extension. Makes contact consistently. Showed solid footwork and movement to ball in the infield, fields cleanly through solid hand work, reacts well and then transfers weight well into throws, IF velocity topped at 71 MPH. Good student.
