Julian Gomez is a 2017 SS/3B, RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends John F Kennedy High School. Large build and frame, present strength, and room to continue to refine with strength. Posted a 7.52 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, showed a long arm action, developing transfer and release, with good arm strength up to 82 mph. At the plate, wider base, deeper hand load, and an aggressive approach. Intent to drive the ball in swing, inconsistent swing plane, strength off the barrel when timed. Also pitched, showed a very long, loose arm action, bug arm circle, open landing, and threw from an extended high three quarter arm slot. Moved well off the mound and fielded position well, showed good arm strength with improving command. Fastball worked 78-83/84 mph with occasional arm side life.
