Nicholas Bethea is a 2016 C/1B, OF, 3B with a 5-10 205 lb. frame from Prosper, TX who attends Episcopal School Of Dallas. Medium with a strong, mature build. Primary catcher, throws from a short arm action with a quick transfer and release. Tight actions, sound footwork and gains ground, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Similar arm action from first base, fields the ball well out front. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base, slightly open. Upper half swing, good knowledge of strike zone and won't expand, smooth swing with nice bat speed, line drive plane, generates pull side contact, ball comes hard off of the barrel. Very good student.
