Jacob Atha is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Whitewater. Tall and athletic frame. Only pitched at the event, righthanded hitter, begins windup with a side step up to a high leg lift, bends slightly at balance point leading into drop and drive actions, lands slightly closed as he comes through his release, full arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, short stab in the back causes some mistiming of the arm at times but is able to come through smoothly. Fastball sat in the low- to mid-80s topping out at 86 mph, releases to the side of the ball occasionally creating some cutting action on the fastball, slider is a promising pitch with plenty of potential, flashed sharp late bite with tight spin. Good student.
