Joseph Craig is a 2017 3B/1B, OF, RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Blanchard, OK who attends Blanchard High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, short steps moving to the ball, overall footwork will continue to develop, shows a quick transfer out of glove into a sound arm stroke that produces arm strength and carry that play well on left side of diamond, picks the backhand well, nice accuracy when on top. Similar strong arm strength from the outfield, compact actions, ball comes out of hand well and shows accuracy as well as carry, projects for more with additional lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even and narrow stance in the box with a high back elbow. Upper body dominant swing, stays short to the ball with quick hands and repeats swing well. Slightly open stance to start and gets closed moving into contact with a toe tap trigger, shows a feel for the barrel and works up to the ball to produce strong carry to the pull side gap. Good student. Named to South Top-Top Prospect List.
