Jordan Akin is a 2018 RHP/1B, OF, 3B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Fellowship Academy High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, long limbs, with plenty of room to fill out and add physical strength. Primary right handed pitcher, created deception well, showed a looser arm action, generated good extension out front, and threw from a mid three quarter arm slot. Loaded well at the hip after leg raise, landed closed at foot strike, and had some lower half drive towards the plate. Fastball showed slight arm side life at 74-79 mph with sink to the lower third of the zone. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped curveball with developing snap and better depth at 64 mph. Worked around the zone with both pitches, keeping hitters off balance, mixed well, and let the defense work behind him.
