Kevin Duncan is a 2017 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Valley HS. Slender build and frame, plenty of room to fill out physically as he matures. Primary right-handed pitcher that throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Has short compact arm action, solid drive off back leg, and repeats delivery well. Fastball has slight cutting action, occasionally generates arm side run. 10/4 slider shape with short, late bite. Change up has good arm side fade. 12/6 curveball shape, sharp and late movement to it. Does a nice job of pitching backwards comfortably. Great mound presence and feel for pitches. From the infield, attacks the ball well, quick transfer and good exchange. Compact arm action on accurate throws across the infield. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with an open stance and a high hand set. Slight bat wrap in load, leg lift trigger. Has a middle of the field approach and gets extended at the point of contact. Generates some lift at the point of contact. Should continue to improve with added strength. Excellent student.
