Chris Shaw is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Large frame with good, lean present build and plenty of room for additional strength gains. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Hits with heavily rotational swing and pull-field approach, shows smoothness in swing with quality bat speed, throws the barrel well and has good hand strength. Best contact to pull field but flashed ability to wait back and drive the ball to opposite field. Worked out defensively in the outfield, showing solid footwork to the ball and through fielding actions. Throws from lower slot with quickness in release, OF velocity up to 73 MPH. Pitched as well, shows smoothness in delivery with good tempo, throws from high three quarters slot with good plane to plate. FB worked 70-74 MPH with solid arm side run and sink. Flashed CB with sweeping 10/4 shape and solid depth; also showed CH with good arm speed and solid fading action. Good student.
