Dante Taylor is a 2019 SS/3B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Newton, MA who attends Newton North. Large frame with lean, athletic, highly projectable present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance, narrow base, static hand load, does a good job maintaining looseness in hands through stroke. Gets onto positive launch angle and is successful at driving the ball into the air; showed most pop to the pull field. Projects well in terms of power. Worked out in the infield, glove works both forehand and backhand with clean actions, shows solid range to both sides, a bit extended through transfer, shows quickness to arm with good strength across the diamond, clocked up to 82 mph. Named to 2017 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List; very good student.
