Brant Smith is a 2019 1B/3B/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Cartersville, GA who attends Cartersville HS. Has a large frame, athletic build, and room to fill out additionally physically as he continues to put on even more muscle. Posted a 7.88 60-yard dash. From the infield, fields the ball out front while throwing with shorter arm action, accurate throws, and arm strength up to 73 MPH. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and deep hand set. Has a full swing with present strength in his swing that generates natural lift at the point of contact. Keeps his hands inside the ball while still getting extension through the baseball. Has power projection to all fields. From the mound, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. Has a balanced delivery, stays online, and developing ability to stay tall. Curveball has 11/5 shape with solid break. Will continue to improve even more as he further develops. Excellent student.
