Max Miller is a 2017 C/3B/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral. Medium build with developing athleticism and strength. Showed decent footwork behind the plate, developing arm strength, throws were online. Could clean up release and shorter transfer a bit. Also worked out at corner infield positions, gets into good position and works to the ball, but could work through more consistently. Right handed hitter, simple and repeatable mechanics. Stiff shift into contact, showed good feel for the barrel and peppered middle of field with line drives. At times worked more rotationally and got pull-heavy, flashed some carry on balls to pullside. Excellent student.
