Jackson Webb is a 2019 C/3B with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Elizabethtown, KY who attends Elizabethtown HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind plate, receives the ball out front, long stride out of crouch and gains ground, quick transfer and release, shorter arm stroke on throws with solid arm strength and carry down to second base, blocked well in games, nice tools behind the dish to build on. Righthanded hitter, begins with a square stance and a tight hand set at the plate; utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Short stroke through the zone and incorporates physical strength well to generate bat speed, keeps hands inside throughout swing, works the pull side well and connected for hard contact in live action with occasional lift to path. Very good student. Named to Main Event Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Eastern Kentucky.
