Nicholas Crowley is a 2018 2B/SS with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends St. Joseph by the Sea. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fundamentally sound with clean actions, moves well on feet and rounds the ball, fields the ball out front, glove plays, works to a higher three-quarters release point, shows arm strength on throws across with accuracy to the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a crouched, even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Upper body dominant swing, utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing and shows a line drive approach through the zone. Nice present feel for the barrel, contact approach, stays short to the ball and keeps inside the ball, shows occasional lift out front. Good student.
