Anthony Crisci is a 2017 C/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Mesa, AZ who attends Westwood HS. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Right handed hitter with crouched, slight knee knocking open stance and high back elbow set. Stacks weight on back side at load and lauches to contact with rotational lower half actions. Lower half creates some linear actions when attacking baseball out front. Hands launch on an extended, uphill path with present bat speed through extension. Swings with intent to drive the baseball deep into the gaps. Shows plus jump off barrel when staying compact at contact. Worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a slow set with good hip flexion. Gets ball out quickly with clean exchanges, quick arm cirlce and compact arm action. Rocks back at gather and gains some ground at release. Creates solid downhill plane generating on line carry and accuracy to the bag. Topped at 74 mph, best workout pop of 1.95. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. Creates good lower half drive to the plate with a high energy arm action through extension. Compact arm circle at separation with a near over top slot at release. Fastball shows four-seam action down in the zone in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 80 mph. Flashed a slider in the mid 70's that showed 9/4 shape with occasional tilt. Good student. Named to 2016 Sunshine West Top Prospect List.
