Connor Kimple is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Whitefish Bay, WI who attends Marquette. Large frame, athletic build with present strength. Project for additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Rotational lower half actions to contact with occasional shift. Extended swing plane that creates leverage with a gap to gap approach. Good fast twitch actions in top half that produces plus bat speed through the zone. Strong at contact with consistent squared contact throughout batting practice. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing a compact arm circle back with a loose, high energy release topping at 88 mph. Athletic actions while closing to baseball with smooth glove skills while working through transition. Low accurate throws with plenty of carry to the bag. Also pitched showing a quick arm action for an high three-quarters to over top arm slot. Loads back leg at gather with a slight lean to second base. Get back over front side well will driving to the plate. Fastball creates good downhill angle with some arm side run ranging in the mid to upper 80's. Flashed a sharp breaking slider at 81 mph that has late break with tilt. Consistently filled to zone with both pitches go right after hitters. Overall excellent athlete, ran a 6.55 sixty-yard dash. Very good student. Named to the 2016 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
