Austin Sankey is a 2017 OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from The Hills, TX who attends Lake Travis. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a short arm action on throws with a whippy arm action. Moves well to the ball with short steps and fields the ball out front. Will continue to gain arm strength with incorporation of lower half into throws. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base, bent knee stance and a high hand set. Stays balanced through swing, creates lift in stroke, one-hand finish, front side opens early but creates extension in swing and generates contact to pull side. Very good student.
