Edwin Gonzalez, Jr. is a 2020 SS/2B/OF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Mount Laurel, NJ who attends Lenape HS. Recorded a 5.01 second 40-yard dash time. Younger frame with good athleticism and some twitch present. Primary shortstop with short, quick steps to the baseball and a short arm stroke that creates throws recorded up to 79 mph across the diamond. Quick, soft hands with some effort but has good present footwork. Arm strength plays up due to the speed of the release. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Quick hands with a level swing plane and a consistent, repeatable stroke. Works well to all fields and can really manipulate the barrel well. Good student.
