Thomas Espinosa is a 2018 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Lanham, MD who attends Charles Herbert Flowers HS. Has broad shoulders, a mature look, and strength throughout build. Posted a 7.30 second sixty yard dash. From the outfield, showed quick actions through the baseball with good carry on throws showing arm strength up to 81 mph. From first bad, also gets on top of throws while fielding the baseball out front. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set, high back elbow, and leg lift trigger. Has looseness in his hands and throughout swing, looks to pull the baseball. On the mound, throws from an extended three-quartarers arm slot with quickness in arm. Short stride down the mound, generates arm side run and sinking action on his fastball. Curveball has 1/7 shape with short quick depth. Changeup shows similar action as fastball. Good student.
