Wesley Cuevas is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends New Dorp HS. Large frame with present physicality and room for projection remaining on the build. Recorded a 4.14 30-yard dash. Primary pitcher with a long arm action and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. Threw strikes consistently and did a good job in particular pitching on the inside part of the plate to righthanders. Mixed in a curveball that showed good depth. Very strong presence at the plate. Wide base with a lot of loud contact and direct path to the ball. Has quick hands and a leg lift trigger for a timing mechanism. A lot of power presently in the swing particularly to the pull side. Showed the ability to drive balls with authority to both gaps. Good student.
