PJ Raines is a 2017 2B/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Mokena, IL who attends St. Rita HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. Right handed hitter, good swing mechanics, open stance, will stay open at times, loose swing with good extension out front, high finish, gets the barrel to the ball when he stays directional to the pitcher, should continue to improve with additional strength. Also sound fundamentally on defense, stays balanced and has soft hands at the ball, low throwing slot with second base arm strength. Also pitched, simple on line delivery, upper 60's fastball, nice sinking change up, soft 11/5 curveball, threw strikes and competed. Good student.
