Carrick Tuck is a 2006 right handed pitcher with a 6'1" 175 pound frame from Gainesville, Florida who attends PK Yonge High School. He has a large strong frame with good flexability. Carrick pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and gets good action on his pitches. He is very smooth with solid mechanics. He pitches inside very well and keeps hitters off balance. His fastball had good run and sink at 84-86 mph. His fastball was also very heavy and allowed him to get ground ball after ground ball. Tuck also threw a curveball at 75 mph that had good depth and tight 12-6 rotation. He pitched very well and struck out 3 batters and got 3 weak ground balls in his two innings of work. Carrick is a promising young pitcher who gets hitters out.
