Landon Tidwell is a 2017 SS/OF/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Hartselle, AL who attends Danville HS. Slender young build, plenty of room and time to get stronger. 7.11 runner, moves well through the ball in the infield, soft hands at the ball, makes accurate throws with young developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, good balance, short direct hand path to the ball, lacks present strength but swings hard and has the beginnings of some bat speed and gap power. Also pitched, high leg raise delivery, short stride out front, 3/4's arm slot, good balance and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly straight. Showed good depth and feel for his curveball, threw strikes with both pitches. Sound fundamental player with good baseball skills, should keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
