Mason Hopkins is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Sinton, TX who attends Sinton HS. Tall and slender build, long limbs, very proejctable physically. Leg lift delivery with some drift to the plate, compact arm action, has some deception in his delivery. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, seems to get on hitters quickly, some arm side running action, commanded his fastball well. Change up was a quality pitch, ideal arm speed with nice fading action, showed confidence in the pitch and for good reason. Sweeping curveball definitely his third pitch at present, not used frequently. Nice young pitcher with a bright future ahead of him. Good student.
