Samuel Santiago is a 2017 OF/C with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Washburn Baseball Academy. Medium build, plenty of room to get stronger. Has good quickness behind the plate and makes accurate throws, has some arm strength he used well in games, 2.01 best pop in drills, 2.22 in game to get a runner, can improve footwork and balance consistency in his shifting behind home plate. Right handed hitter, late high leg kick puts him behind on the ball,will need to start his load sooner or shorten it, swings hard and looks to drive the ball. Good student.
