Jose Nunez is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Ponce, PR. Solid athletic build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, narrow bent knee stance with a limited shift towards contact, short hand driven swing, limited lower half use, hits to the middle of the field, has some strength in his hands and impacted a couple hard to centerfield, can improve immediately with more lower half use and extension through contact. 7.25 runner, fundamentally sound in the infield, makes plays cleanly, good hands and proper footwork, makes accurate throws from a compact arm action, second base profile. Also pitched, compact delivery with a short stride out front, has deception and hides the ball well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph but got on hitters quickly, consisting cutting action on his fastball that is effective. Good downer spin on a mid-60's curveball with nice downer depth, threw strikes.
