Dominick Claxton is a 2016 OF/ with a 5-9 141 lb. frame from Carrollton, VA who attends Smithfield. Quick twitch, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Excellent runner, posted a 6.77 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows quick feet on fly balls with good jumps, short arm action, quick arm with fast release, getting on top of throws will help improve carry. Right-handed hitter, starts from an upright stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Upper half swing, compact swing with a short path to the ball, shows a good feel for the barrel with the ability to hit to all fields. Shows quick hands, will continue to develop with added strength. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
