Alex Albertini is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-9 125 lb. frame from Palm City, FL who attends Martin County. Medium frame, young slender build with plenty of physical development remaining. Primary left handed pitcher, stays tall in delivery with slight body lean to third base side, deliberate pace, stays back well. Works to a high 3/4's arm slot, has long, ovular arm path, works through well with developing arm speed. Fastball up to 71 mph early, shows some armside run and downhill plane from the higher arm slot, throws strikes with pitch, needs to be down in zone consistently. Also has a low-60s curveball with 12/6 to 1/7 shape, has some depth and can locate for called strikes. Also plays outfield, developing footwork and consistency with overall actions. Right handed hitter, extended hand load, inside path. Can be late getting started, still developing strength and bat speed. Showed good plate awareness in game action. Excellent student.
