Kayden Berkhof is a 2019 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Cedar Hill, TX who attends Cedar Hill HS. Medium frame with present physicality and strength on the build. Primary shortstop with clean hands and currently developing arm strength. Deliberate actions with quick and decisive movements. Accurate throws across. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a long and loose arm action. Threw from a three-quarter arm slot with a leg lift just below the belt. Consistently pounded the lower third of the strike zone. Sweeping slider with some depth and lateral movement. Slider showed swing and miss potential. Righthanded hitter with an upright, open stance. Loose path to contact from a level, line drive swing plane. Gap-to-gap approach and flashed some bat speed when turning the barrel to the pull side. Fluidity to swing with a leg lift trigger into his shift. Line drive approach and was able to drive the ball off the barrel well to all fields. Excellent student.
