Jarod Beres is a 2018 C/SS with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Midwest City, OK who attends Carl Albert. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.72 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, starts with a low set up, pops out of crouch and gains ground with lower half, full arm circle, gets on top of ball, accurate to second base with arm strength that will continue to develop. Moves well in the infield, sound actions, works around ball with nice footwork. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow stance and hands pulled back. Line drive swing path with bat speed, creates contact out front with a nice, simple contact approach. Gets barrel through the zone with contact to pull side. Very good student.
