Matthew Bryant is a 2019 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent knee stance with an early stride to contact, front side hitter, will get off balance out front occasionally, short and consistent swing path, contact/high average approach. 7.20 runner, moves to the ball well in the outfield, gets good carry on his throws and makes accurate throws. Also performed as a left handed pitcher, easy flowing delivery with a low effort release, some crossfire on release, arm is loose with good extension. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with some arm side run. Slurve type breaking ball with limited feel at present. Good athlete who can keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
