Andres Valbuena is a 2015 SS/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter HS. Medium, lean build with more room to fill out. Ran a 7.27 60 yard dash. Lays back on the infield, but hands work well and is consistent with his actions. Flashes solid arm strength but takes time with transfer. Bats right-handed, works rom an upright, even setup but needs to improve balance. Has a line drive swing path and stays inside the ball well. Hits to the middle of the field. Also took the mound, topped at 83 mph from a short stride delivery and a three-quarter arm action. Shows big running action and pounds the lower quadrants. Also mixed a slider at 71 mph and a 75 mph changeup. Threw mostly fastballs. Excellent student.
