Brian O'Neil is a 2016 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Crestwood, KY who attends Saint Xavier HS. Long and slender athletic build, very projectable physically. Sound delivery, stays tall on his backside with good direction and balance, loose arm coming through to a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well, good lower half use. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, has good late life at the plate when down in the zone, misses barrels with his fastball. Curveball has 10/4 sweeping action with tight spin and good depth, shows the ability to spot his curveball. Maintains good arm speed on his change up. Throws easy and pitches to contact, strikes with all three pitches. All the ingredients are there to keep improving with additional strength. Very good student.
