Weston Baker is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Eureka, MO who attends St Louis University HS. Has an extra large frame, broad shoulders, long limbs, strong build, and clear sign of present strength in build. Posted a 7.72 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, raise leg with angle into balance point, gets online into extension. Has a full arm circle through the back, extended back, while throwing from a high three-quarter arm slot. Showed a four pitch mix, good life and arm side run on fastball and good deception on changeup. Curveball has 11/5 shape with sharp break and big depth, slider has shorter depth with good break. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance and deep hand load. Has an inside bat path with extension throughout swing. Very good projection on the mound with more velocity to come. Excellent student. Named to 2016 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
