Austin Adams is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Whitewater HS. Medium, athletic frame with solid build and lots of quick-twitch athleticism throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.58 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with athletic set, patient approach with on-base goal, quick stride into swing with minimal load in hands. Swing is built for quality contact all over the zone. Approach is up the middle/pull-field, good line drive swing plane with solid bat speed and hand path. Worked out defensively in the outfield. Moves very well to ball with clean routes and good balance throughout, fields off front foot and works through with good fluidity in momentum. Gathers well with clean footwork, longer arm stroke with plenty of strength at release, topping at 86 MPH on OF throws. Named to 2016 World Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
