Matthew Yokota is a 2016 OF/MIF with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Pearl City, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Ca. Medium, athletic frame with good present build and projection remaining on frame. Ran a 6.98 60 yard dash. Hits from straight stance, showing a quick bat with looseness and fluidity throughout hitting mechanics. Repeats swing well with solid bat speed and good strength off the barrel with impressive carry and overall hitting tools. Good athleticism in the outfield, moving well to the ball and fielding cleanly through it, then throwing accurately with good arm strength, topping at 85 MPH. Charges well with good range to both sides in the infield, again fielding cleanly and releasing quickly from a lower slot, throwing accurately across the diamond at 84 MPH. Good student.
