2015 Florida Top Prospect Showcase
Moises Criollo is a 2016 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Mater Academy Charter. Large frame, broad shouldered, sturdy build with impressive physical strength. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance with high hands set, tight to body. Aggressive weight shift, near spread at contact, lift and separate approach. Long, fluid swing path with good bat speed, uphill plane with carry off the barrel, good carry to pullside, also shows ability to work the opposite field gaps. Corner infield profile, solid footwork with quick transfer, efficient release. Gets under the ball at times, shows solid arm strength when hand is on top of the ball. Also pitches, big leg lift delivery with solid direction and rotation from lower half. Fastball up to 78 mph from compact arm-action and high arm slot. Mixes in a curveball with 12/6 break, has ability to throw for strikes. Very good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect List.
