Tyler Nunemaker is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Ely, IA who attends Prairie. Medium, athletic frame. Has a slightly open stance and shows a downhill swing plane that produces line drive/ hard groundball contact. Primary looks to work the ball mid-field and to opposite field with contact often occuring while weight is on the front side. Shows some barrel control with ability to shoot the ball the other way with consistency. Does show some natrual lift to swing at time, will continue to develop with more extension on finish. Aggresive close on baseball in the outfield with a quick overtop release and a lower set elbow slot that produced online carry and accuracy to the bag. Topped at 84 mph from the outfield. Has athletic actions with footwork and glove skills. Does show a tendency to let ball travel deep on glove side while transitioning into throw. Also pitched, showing a high 3/4 slot that produces good arm whip. Stays closed closed on delivery with some crossfire actions. Fastball has some glove side run ranging from 81-83 mph. Fastball showed more movement and bite when arm action came from a higher overtop slot. Slider has similar movements to fastball with slightly more tilt, topped at 81mph. Good student as well.
