Gates Nigreville is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Brandon, MS who attends Hartfield Academy. Has a nice large frame with an athletic build and room to get stronger. Pitches with good tempo on the mound, competes with a deceptive delivery and hides the ball well. Pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle gets good arm side run on his fastball and throws his slider for strikes. Has good lateral agility at first base with a quick release, and good soft hands, his large frame helps him save errors. Has an aggressive swing at the plate with a leg kick trigger. Contact approach and goes with the pitch well. Is a player to continue to follow.
